Warranty and Return Policy
Section 1 — Return Policy (New and Used Parts)
1.1 Timeframes and General Conditions
Any return of a part, whether new or used, must be made within a maximum of 90 days from the date of purchase to receive a full credit.
Note to our customers: Respecting this timeframe greatly helps us provide you with better service and ensure product availability.
1.2 New Parts
- Unopened boxes: A 10% restocking fee will automatically be deducted from the credit.
- Opened boxes: No return, exchange, or credit will be accepted if the packaging has been opened.
Section 2 — Warranty Policy
2.1 Warranty Duration and Coverage
Mme Crémaillère Inc. offers a one (1) year, unlimited-mileage warranty on its electric and electric power-assisted steering racks. This warranty covers only the repair or replacement of the defective part.
2.2 Mandatory Condition (Proof of Purchase)
The original purchase invoice issued by Mme Crémaillère Inc. is strictly required to make and honour any warranty claim. No record search, duplicate invoice, or copy will be accepted as a substitute.
2.3 Strict Warranty Exclusions
The warranty will automatically be denied and deemed void if any of the following situations is identified:
- Water infiltration and rust: The bellows (rubber boots) are punctured, or the main shaft shows signs of internal rust.
- Installation damage: Electrical connectors are broken, cracked, or damaged during handling or installation.
- Accidents: The part shows signs of shock, impact, a road accident, or abuse.
2.4 Tie Rods
For tie rods, the warranty is strictly limited to the replacement part. All related costs, including labour, wheel alignment, and towing, are excluded.
2.5 Approval and Credit Process
The original invoice is required to make a claim. All defective parts must be inspected and officially approved by Mme Crémaillère Inc. before any credit or exchange is issued.
Mme Crémaillère reserves the right to modify this Warranty and Return Policy at any time. Any modification will apply to purchases made after its effective date. The applicable policy will remain the one in effect on the date the product was purchased.
